Frequently Asked Questions
Foil stamping is a specialty finishing process in which heat and pressure are combined to apply a metallic foil to a material, such as paper, to create a decorative visual appearance.
Embossing is a specialty finishing process in which a hand-carved brass die molds a material, such as paper, into a specific design using high levels of pressure to create a three-dimensional texture. Our prints require 300 tons of pressure on average to be produced and all of our dies are completely hand-carved by local professionals.
Yes! We designed a custom framing option with local framers for our prints. This option includes a 2” matte black wooden frame with black and silver double matting. These framed prints take 3 weeks on average to ship due to each custom frame being made to order and are ready to hang upon delivery.
We recommend choosing a double matted framing option when framing our prints to preserve the three-dimensional embossing texture. A single mat will also suffice, but please note that framing without a mat could alter the visual appearance of the embossing texture over time.
We spent weeks designing each print with local artists and monument curators to ensure absolute accuracy and maximum visual impact with each print. Our prints are foil stamped and embossed in house at Baugh Graphic Finishing House to create a unique, three-dimension experience.
Our current shipping time for unframed prints is 1-3 business days while our framed prints typically take 3 weeks to ship due to custom framing.
